What a great story! Humanising everyone and ndependently of our own biases and fears is always an act of kindness not just with them but with our shared human condition. Will be searching for more stories from you on the forests dwellers!
It goes slowly, I don't always find them there and I don't always bring a camera. Sometimes we just talk; no interview, I'm not taking notes, we're just talking.
Absolutely! It goes slowly but it’s great to hear how the building of relationships is taking place. This type of processes change all involved. If you ever need help from an ethnographic point of view just give me a shout over the Raw soc hub. Love this long term project of yours.
I, too, have difficulty looking at difficult lives. I cannot even take photographs of them. I can't point my camera at them. But you've found a connection point in giving cigarettes. I think you continued with this feeling. An important point. The photos are beautiful along with the story.
Sometimes it's hard for me too, even though they accepted me. There are days when I don't even take the camera out, we just talk. When I get home, my heart gets heavy.
It has happened that a few days after a photo shoot (I never look at the photos right away), I look at the photos and wondered why I'm doing all this, since some of them are so messed up.
That's when it occurs to me that people should know about these things.
I re realised It's my duty to show others, and everything is going on the way what I want at the beginning (about one year ago).

Really appreciate your thoughts!
very powerful!
Thank you so much dear Regi!
Your photographs capture the humanity and individuality of people who are so often regarded merely as objects belonging to a type. Thank you.
Dear P J!

It gives me a good feeling that we think alike about these people’s life.
